Which costs less, Kixie or PhoneBurner?
On single-line dialing they cost almost the same per user, but only PhoneBurner lets you see that before a sales call. PhoneBurner publishes its prices: $140, $165 or $183 per user a month on annual billing, more on monthly, with unlimited calling on every plan. Kixie does not publish prices; 2026 reports put its plans at about $95 to $215 per user a month depending on the dialer and add-ons. If budgeting ahead of a sales call matters, PhoneBurner is easier to plan around.
Which one has multi-line dialing?
Kixie does; PhoneBurner does not. PhoneBurner dials one line per rep, so every answered call reaches a ready rep. Kixie offers both single-line and multi-line power dialing; multi-line rings several numbers at once and connects the first answer, which can raise conversations per hour on lists with low answer rates, at the cost of some dropped answers.
Texting and integrations
Kixie combines calling with SMS and focuses on CRM integrations, which suits teams that live in HubSpot or Salesforce. PhoneBurner also integrates with CRMs and offers SMS on its Premium plan. Neither advertises bring-your-own-Twilio calling; if you want that, look at a dialer built for it; the PhoneBurner alternative and Kixie alternative pages compare each with one.
Trials
PhoneBurner offers a free trial with a limited number of calling minutes, and Kixie a 7-day free trial. Because Kixie prices by quote, ask for the quote before the trial ends, so you judge cost and features at the same time, on your own lists.
Plan for plan, which one costs more per user?
Matched on dialing mode, they land within a few dollars of each other. PhoneBurner Standard, its single-line plan, is $140 per user a month on annual billing (PhoneBurner pricing); Kixie’s Single-Line PowerDialer was reported at about $145 (Aloware). Matched on texting, PhoneBurner Premium is $183 per user and Kixie’s plans include SMS, so the gap stays small.
The real price difference is in what each figure covers. PhoneBurner’s price includes unlimited calling, while Kixie’s quote should be checked for minutes, add-ons and term length. Team totals for each vendor are in the two pricing guides linked above; model your own minutes with the Twilio call cost calculator if a per-minute option is also on your list.
Which one has month-to-month billing?
PhoneBurner does: its help center describes two ways to pay, monthly service or a discounted annual contract (PhoneBurner support), and monthly billing costs more per user. Kixie does not: its agreements run for a fixed term, and you may only cut licenses during the final 30 days before that term ends (Kixie support).
So PhoneBurner suits a team that wants to stop at the end of any month, at a premium over the annual price. With Kixie, read the term length in the quote before you sign. One catch on cancelling PhoneBurner: its help center says you lose access to your account and any numbers you bought when you cancel, so export first.
Kixie or PhoneBurner for real estate?
Both sell to real estate teams, so the choice comes back to how your agents work. PhoneBurner lists real estate among its customer industries and pitches a browser-based single-line dialer (PhoneBurner). Kixie publishes a real estate dialer guide that describes itself as a sales engagement platform with calling, texting and CRM integrations rather than a real estate CRM (Kixie).
An agent who texts leads from a CRM and works large, cold lists leans toward Kixie. An agent who calls a steady list of expireds, past clients and sphere contacts one at a time, and wants unlimited calling on a published price, leans toward PhoneBurner. Agents who want a dedicated triple-line prospecting dialer can also weigh PhoneBurner against Mojo, a real estate dialer with three-line plans.
Which one works better for a VA team?
Both charge per user, so a virtual assistant costs the same as any other rep, and PhoneBurner has no seat minimum, so a two-VA team buys two seats. The differences that matter for VAs are control and cost per hour worked. PhoneBurner’s Professional plan adds live call monitoring, which helps a manager coach remote callers. Kixie’s multi-line dialer can push more connects to each VA hour on low-answer lists, at the price of some dropped answers.
A VA team on part-time hours pays the full seat either way. That is where a per-minute model on your own carrier account can cost less; see how Rapidialer handles it in the last section below.
Is multi-line dialing worth the extra cost?
Only on lists where few people answer. With single-line dialing, the rep hears every ring and every greeting, and the person who answers always gets a live rep. With multi-line dialing, the rep only hears the calls someone picked up, but when two people answer at once, one of them may get a dropped line, which dialer vendors call an abandoned call. Read the single-line and parallel tradeoffs before you pay for the extra lines.
A useful test: if your reps reach a live person on most dials, multi-line adds little. If they spend most of the hour listening to voicemail greetings on bought lists, it may earn its price.
Local presence
Both vendors offer local presence: Kixie under that name (Kixie) and PhoneBurner as Local ID (PhoneBurner). Ask each how many local numbers come with your plan and what extra numbers cost, since extra numbers can change the total.
What to settle during the trial
Use the trial to answer the questions a pricing page cannot:
- Call one of your own lists, not demo data, and count conversations per hour per rep.
- Check how calls, outcomes and recordings appear in your CRM after a day.
- Ask for the cost of every add-on you used in the trial, in writing.
- Confirm the renewal terms and what cancelling mid-term costs.
Moving from one to the other
Switching between two bundled dialers means carrying your data out by hand. Do it in this order, so no opt-out is lost and no lead is called twice:
- Export do-not-call numbers first and import them into the new tool before any list.
- Export open contacts and callbacks as CSV, with the last disposition and note in their own columns.
- Download the recordings you must keep for your records; neither vendor’s pricing page promises they move with you.
- Ask the old vendor whether your numbers can be ported out, and how long porting takes, before the contract ends.
- Rebuild dispositions and scripts, then run a few reps on the new tool for a week before cancelling.
When neither one is the right buy
If your team already pays Twilio and needs single-line dialing without voicemail drop, both products charge you for calling you already have. A dialer on your own Twilio account splits the bill into a seat price and Twilio’s per-minute usage instead.
Rapidialer is one such tool: $5 per seat a month, with Twilio billing about 1.8 cents a minute for a browser call to a US number (Twilio pricing). Its seat includes two-way SMS, HubSpot call logging and live listen, whisper and barge. It is a poor fit if you want multi-line dialing, recorded voicemail drop, or a native connector to Salesforce or another CRM besides HubSpot; Kixie or PhoneBurner serve those teams better.

Kixie vs PhoneBurner: questions and answers
Which one is better for a solo caller?
PhoneBurner is easier to start alone: it has no seat minimum and a published price of $140 a month on annual billing, with calling included. Kixie’s reported Single-Line PowerDialer price is about $145 a month, but you need a quote first. Either gives you single-line dialing from a list, which is what a power dialer is at its core.
Do both include local caller ID?
Both advertise local presence: Kixie under that name and PhoneBurner as Local ID. Ask each how many local numbers your plan includes and what extra ones cost. Rapidialer’s local caller ID works differently: it picks one of the numbers you own in Twilio with the lead’s area code, at $1.15 a month per number, and falls back to the rep’s line.
Is Kixie cheaper than PhoneBurner?
It depends on the plan. Reported Kixie prices start around $95 per user a month for its Professional plan and reach about $185 for the multi-line dialer, while PhoneBurner’s published plans run from $140 to $183 on annual billing.
Which one has multi-line dialing?
Kixie offers a Multi-Line PowerDialer plan, reported at about $185 per user a month, which rings several numbers per rep and connects the first person who answers. PhoneBurner dials one line at a time on every plan, so an answered call always reaches a ready rep. Rapidialer is also single-line only, with a 5-second countdown between calls.
Do either of them work with my own Twilio account?
Neither Kixie nor PhoneBurner advertises bring-your-own-Twilio calling; both bundle calling into their own plans. Rapidialer is built for it: it connects to your Twilio account and costs $5 per seat, with Twilio billing minutes directly. Connecting takes the account’s Account SID and Auth Token, and up to 200 of its numbers sync in.
Which one has a longer free trial?
Kixie’s pricing page offers a 7-day free trial (Kixie), while PhoneBurner’s trial is capped by calling minutes rather than days (PhoneBurner). Ask Kixie for a quote before its trial ends. For comparison, Rapidialer’s trial is 14 days with one seat and no credit card, on your own Twilio account.
