Key takeaways
- Rapidialer dials one phone column per CSV row, so a skip trace with four numbers per owner becomes four rows.
- A Wrong number outcome takes that row out of the list’s queue, and it is never retried.
- Ten callers at about 1,000 billed minutes each, with recording and a local number apiece, cost about $266.50 a month.
- Twilio may add $0.015 per unanswered or six-second call when such calls reach 20% of a month’s North America calls.
What slows wholesalers and investors down
- Skip-traced lists are large, messy and full of wrong numbers, and working them by hand caps how many owners a caller can reach in a day.
- Multi-line dialer licenses often cost close to $100 or more per caller each month, which adds up fast when you pay a team of cold-calling VAs by the seat.
- Callers spread across countries and time zones need the same lists, numbers and scripts without sharing logins.
- Motivated sellers who say “call me next month” slip through when follow-ups live in a spreadsheet.
A calling day for wholesalers and investors in Rapidialer
Prepare the skip-traced list
Put each phone number on its own row with the owner name and property address, then import the CSV. Mark the list type and source as custom fields for later reporting.
Give each caller an agent seat
VAs sign in with their own login and the agent role, so they see their own leads and calls and never your Twilio settings.
Dial with a seller script
Power Dial works through the list with a motivated-seller talk track. Wrong number takes the row out of the queue; No answer and Voicemail come back later if the list has retry rules.
Hand off the hot ones
Mark motivated sellers with a custom outcome that moves them to a pipeline stage, and schedule the acquisition manager’s callback as a follow-up.

- Calling hours
- Weekdays 9:00–20:00 in the owner’s time zone, with retry rules that bring No answer contacts back after four hours and voicemails the next day.
- Follow-up rhythm
- Every “maybe” seller gets a dated follow-up; motivated sellers get an acquisition callback within the same day.
How do you load a skip trace with several numbers per owner?
Give each phone number its own row, repeating the owner’s name and property address. Rapidialer dials one phone column per row, and the import preview shows how many rows have a bad or missing phone before anything is saved.
Each number then lives as its own lead, so a Wrong number outcome takes the dead one out of rotation while the owner’s other numbers stay in the queue. Tag the import (for example absentee-oct) so you can filter that batch on the Leads page later.
What should a dialer for real estate investors handle?
A dialer for real estate investors has to handle three things well: messy skip trace files, several numbers per owner, and callers who are not in the office. Rapidialer covers the first two through the CSV import, one row per number, with bad numbers and duplicates counted before you confirm. It covers the third with agent seats in the browser, so a VA in another country uses your lists and numbers without your Twilio login.
What it does not do matters as much. Rapidialer is a skip trace dialer only in the sense that it dials the file you bring; it does not skip trace, buy data, send mail or drop voicemails. It does text: two-way SMS from your Twilio numbers, with STOP opt-outs honored. Investors who want skip tracing, data and dialing in one subscription will find that in vertical tools, at a higher price per user.
Does Rapidialer dial several lines at once?
No. Rapidialer dials one line per caller, and only when that caller is ready. A seller who answers never hears silence or a dropped call, which is what abandoned calls from multi-line and predictive dialers sound like.
You trade raw dial speed for conversations that start properly. Wholesalers who want three to five lines per caller should read the comparison table below first.
Set up a VA calling team in an afternoon
A checklist for an owner or admin putting cold-calling VAs on the phones:
- Invite each VA as an agent from Settings → Team (the Agent role sees its own calls and its own or unassigned leads), then use Change outbound line to give each one a number, or leave them on the organization default.
- Decide who owns each list. On import, Assign new leads to puts a whole file under one VA; Leave unassigned lets several VAs share it, and each contact is held for one caller at a time.
- Turn on retries under List settings → Dialing rules; the defaults bring a no-answer owner back four hours later and a voicemail the next day, for three tries in all.
- Set calling hours on every list, and pick a Fallback time zone under Settings → Dialing → Caller ID & hours for numbers whose area code spans two zones. The window follows the owner’s clock, not the VA’s.
- Write one seller script and tick Set as default on Call, so every VA opens the same questions.
Why does a VA see an empty queue on a full list?
Because everyone left is waiting for a retry. The Dialer says “Everyone left is waiting for a retry” and shows when the next one is due, which happens by early afternoon on a list where most owners went to No answer at 9 a.m. and the 4-hour wait has not passed.
Move the VA to a second list while the first one cools, or shorten the wait under Dialing rules. A VA who closes the tab mid-list holds one contact, and that owner goes back to the queue after five minutes.
What do three or ten cold callers cost a month?
Budget about $79.95 a month for a three-caller team and $266.50 for ten (Twilio US voice pricing). Each caller is counted at 1,000 billed minutes, with recording and one local number: $5 for the seat and $21.65 for Twilio.
Skip-traced lists add a cost the per-minute rates hide. When unanswered and six-second calls are 20% or more of a month’s calls, Twilio may charge $0.015 for each one, so a team with 2,400 such calls in a month would owe about $36 more. Model your own mix in the Twilio call cost calculator.

Real estate wholesalers: questions and answers
What is the best dialer for wholesaling?
If raw dial volume matters most, a multi-line dialer built for real estate investors, such as BatchDialer, rings three to five lines per agent. Rapidialer dials one line per caller on your own Twilio numbers for $5 per seat, so every seller who answers reaches a caller who is ready. The table on this page compares BatchDialer, Mojo Dialer and Rapidialer on price, minutes and dialing mode, with sources.
Can my cold-calling VAs use Rapidialer from overseas?
Yes. It runs in the browser, so a caller anywhere with a good connection and a headset can dial your US list from your US Twilio numbers. Give them the agent role so they only see their own leads and calls.
Is there a multi-line or triple-line mode?
No. Rapidialer has no multi-line, triple-line or predictive mode; it dials one line per caller and waits for wrap-up and a five-second countdown before the next owner. If raw dials per hour matter most, a multi-line dialer is the better fit. If you want every seller who answers to reach a VA who is ready, sequential Power Dial is.
How do I handle several numbers per property?
Put each number on its own row before importing, repeating the owner’s name and property address. Rapidialer then treats each number as its own lead, so a Wrong number outcome removes the bad one without losing the owner, and a number that already exists as a lead is merged rather than duplicated. The import preview counts duplicate rows and bad numbers before you confirm.
What does a team of five callers cost?
Five seats are $25 a month. Twilio usage depends on talk time; at Twilio’s published rates, about 1,000 billed minutes per caller with recording on comes to roughly $108 in usage and numbers for the team. See pricing for the breakdown.
How do I see which VA is booking sellers?
Open Analytics and pick a date range. Rapidialer’s Analytics page ranks callers on calls made, owners reached, reach rate, talk time and callbacks set. Below it, each list shows how many owners were attempted, reached, qualified and won, so you can tell a weak VA from a weak list before you buy another skip trace.
Does Rapidialer filter out TCPA litigators?
No. Rapidialer does not check numbers against litigator lists or the National Do Not Call Registry; it only blocks numbers on your own organization’s Do Not Call list. If you cold call skip-traced owners, run each file through a registry and litigator scrub from your data provider or a scrubbing service before import, and mark every opt-out DND so no VA dials it again.
