Best Twilio Dialers in 2026, Compared

Five ways to dial through your own Twilio account, from a $5 power dialer to Twilio Flex and a custom build, with prices and tradeoffs.

Updated · By

Key takeaways

  • Rapidialer is $5 per seat a month or $49 per seat a year, and Twilio bills each browser call to a US number at about $0.018 a minute.
  • Nethram’s Auto Dialer for Twilio costs $4.99 a month after a 14-day free trial, with Twilio usage on top.
  • Twilio Flex costs $1 per active user hour or $150 per named user a month, plus Twilio usage.
  • Connecting Rapidialer imports up to 200 voice numbers from your Twilio account and points each one’s voice webhook at Rapidialer.

The best Twilio dialer depends on who is dialing. For a sales team of two or more reps that wants a ready-made power dialer on its own Twilio account, Rapidialer is our pick at $5 a seat, with shared lists, scripts, outcomes and HubSpot sync. DialSheet suits a solo caller who wants a free tier or two to four parallel lines, Nethram’s extension suits one person dialing from Chrome, and Twilio Flex suits a contact center with queues and routing.

A disclosure first: we make Rapidialer. We have tried to describe every option fairly, and each fact about another product links to where we found it, checked in October 2026. Prices change, so confirm them on each vendor’s site.

What counts as a Twilio dialer?

A Twilio dialer is calling software that places calls through your own Twilio account rather than through the vendor’s telephony. That changes three things:

  • You own the numbers. Phone numbers, call logs and recordings live in your Twilio account, so they stay with you if you switch tools.
  • Twilio bills usage directly, at its published rates, and the dialer charges for software. See the Twilio cost per minute for what that adds up to.
  • You manage the carrier side: upgrading the account, registering your business in Trust Hub for STIR/SHAKEN and keeping numbers healthy.

All-in-one dialers such as PhoneBurner or Mojo work the other way, bundling minutes into the seat price. They are simpler to buy and usually cost more per seat; our alternatives pages compare them in detail, and Kixie vs PhoneBurner sets two of them side by side.

What are the main Twilio dialer options?

Six options run on your own Twilio account today, and they differ most in dialing mode and team features. This table sums them up before the detail on each.

Rapidialer

Rapidialer is a browser-based power dialer for teams that already use Twilio, or want to. You connect your Twilio account with an Account SID and Auth Token, sync your numbers and call CSV lists from the browser. Power Dial calls one contact at a time and moves on after the rep logs an outcome, with staged call scripts, callbacks, an internal Do Not Call list, local presence from your own numbers and per-list calling hours. Inbound calls to your numbers ring the assigned teammate in the browser, then the rest of the team. It works as a Twilio auto dialer that never dials more lines than you have reps, and a Chrome extension keypad handles one-off calls from other tabs.

Good fit: small and mid-sized teams that want a complete calling workflow for $5 per seat per month, plus Twilio usage.

Each seat also includes two-way SMS, HubSpot sync, signed webhooks and REST API keys, and AI call summaries that run on the organization’s own Deepgram and Claude, OpenAI or Gemini keys.

Limits: no parallel or predictive dialing, no voicemail drop, and no native CRM other than HubSpot; Salesforce, Pipedrive and the rest connect through webhooks or the API. Connecting Rapidialer repoints the voice webhook of each number you sync, so numbers that run other call flows belong in a separate Twilio subaccount.

DialSheet

DialSheet is the closest product to Rapidialer: a browser dialer that runs on your own Twilio account, with a built-in CRM. According to its G2 profile, it is free for one user (up to 500 leads and 500 calls a month), its Pro plan is $29 a month per seat (DialSheet pricing, checked November 2026), and it offers a managed line for teams without Twilio. It also offers parallel dialing on two to four lines (DialSheet on G2).

Good fit: a solo caller who wants a free tier, or a team that wants parallel dialing on its own Twilio account.

Limits: check its current plan limits and inbound support on its site before you commit.

Auto Dialer for Twilio (Nethram)

Nethram’s Auto Dialer for Twilio is a Chrome extension that dials a list one number after another through your Twilio account. It costs $4.99 per month after a 14-day free trial and needs a paid Twilio account with at least one number (Chrome Web Store listing). Twilio bills calls separately.

Good fit: one person who wants the cheapest way to auto-dial a list from Chrome.

Limits: it is a dialing utility rather than a team workflow, so compare what it offers for scripts, outcomes, callbacks and reporting. Our Nethram alternative page goes through the differences.

Newer Twilio Chrome extensions

Two side-panel extensions listed in the Chrome Web Store in 2026 also call through your own Twilio account. Both sign in with your Account SID and Auth Token:

  • Twilio Dialer describes click-to-call, auto-dialing a loaded list, inbound calls in the side panel, live transcripts and HubSpot screen-pops, for $9 a month after a 7-day free trial (Chrome Web Store).
  • Twilio Softphone – Click-to-Call, SMS & Call Logs describes WebRTC calls in both directions, click-to-call from websites, an auto dialer, SMS and call logs, and is free to install with in-app purchases (Chrome Web Store).

Good fit: a single Twilio user who wants calls, and in one case texts, without leaving Chrome.

Limits: like Nethram’s, they are single-user tools rather than a team workflow. Twilio treats your Account SID and Auth Token as full access to the account (Twilio Help Center), so check where an extension stores them before you sign in.

Twilio Flex

Twilio Flex is Twilio’s own programmable contact center. It runs inside your Twilio account, with queues, routing and supervisor tools, and costs $1 per active user hour or $150 per named user per month, plus Twilio usage (Flex pricing). Outbound campaign dialing is not built in; Twilio’s preview-dialer sample targets the retired Flex UI 1.x (Twilio docs).

Good fit: support and contact-center teams with developers, where inbound routing matters as much as outbound calls.

Limits: heavy for a small sales team that mostly needs lists and a fast next-call loop.

Build your own on the Voice SDK

Twilio gives you everything needed to build a browser dialer: the Voice SDK, TwiML apps and access tokens. A basic softphone is a small project for a developer who knows the SDK. A dialer a team relies on (queues, retries, calling hours, outcomes, recordings, reporting, permissions) is a product to maintain. Our guide to making outbound calls with Twilio shows the pieces.

Good fit: teams with engineers and requirements no product meets.

Limits: you own every bug, every Twilio SDK upgrade and every compliance feature.

How do you choose a Twilio dialer?

Pick the tool whose dialing mode and team features match how you call, then price the full month with Twilio usage included. These five checks, in order, narrow the field quickly.

  1. Decide whether you want to own the telephony. If you would rather not manage Twilio at all, an all-in-one dialer is simpler, even if it costs more per seat.
  2. Match the dialing mode to your lists. One line suits warm, high-value or consumer calls; parallel lines suit large cold B2B lists. See parallel vs power dialers.
  3. Check the team features. Shared lists, roles, callbacks, a Do Not Call list and reporting matter more as soon as there is more than one rep.
  4. Price the whole month. Add Twilio usage to each option with the Twilio call cost calculator.
  5. Start with a trial on a real list. A week of real calls tells you more than any comparison table.

Questions and answers

Which Twilio dialer suits a small sales team?

For a team of two or more reps, Rapidialer, which we make, gives shared lists, scripts and outcomes on your own Twilio account for $5 a seat, about $80 a month all in for three reps at 1,000 minutes each. DialSheet’s free tier fits a solo caller, Nethram’s extension fits one person in Chrome, and Twilio Flex fits a support-heavy contact center.

Can I switch Twilio dialers without losing my numbers?

Yes. With a bring-your-own-Twilio dialer, the numbers, recordings and call logs stay in your Twilio account. When you move to another tool, point each number’s voice webhook at whatever should answer it next; nothing has to be ported.

What do I need before connecting a dialer to Twilio?

Before connecting a Twilio dialer you need an upgraded (paid) Twilio account, because a trial account can only call numbers you have verified, and at least one voice-capable phone number. A Business Profile in Twilio’s Trust Hub, with your numbers assigned to a SHAKEN/STIR Trust Product, lets your outbound calls carry full A-level attestation.

How much does a Twilio dialer cost for a small team?

A Twilio dialer bills in two parts: the software and Twilio’s usage. For Rapidialer, a 3-rep team at about 1,000 billed minutes per rep, with recording on and one local number each, pays about $79.95 a month: $15 for seats and $64.95 to Twilio. A 10-rep team at the same volume pays about $266.50.

Is there a free Twilio dialer?

Yes, with limits. DialSheet has a free tier for one user, up to 500 leads and 500 calls a month according to its G2 profile, and the Twilio Softphone Chrome extension is free to install with in-app purchases. Twilio still bills every minute and number on your account, so a free Twilio dialer is free software, not free calling.

Is there an open-source Twilio dialer?

Twilio publishes open-source Voice SDK quickstart apps on GitHub that place and answer calls from a browser, which is a starting point for your own Twilio dialer software. They are not list dialers: queues, retries, calling hours, outcomes and reporting are left for you to build and maintain. Count that work against a paid tool’s seat price.

Does Rapidialer dial more than one line at a time?

No. Rapidialer’s Power Dial places one call per rep. After the rep saves an outcome, the next contact is dialed after a five-second countdown the rep can cancel or skip. Teams that want two to four lines ringing at once on their own Twilio account can look at DialSheet’s parallel dialing instead.

Can a Twilio dialer use the numbers already in my account?

Yes. Rapidialer’s Telephony settings import up to 200 voice numbers from a connected Twilio account with Import from provider, and syncing points each number’s voice webhook at Rapidialer. A number that already runs an IVR or another call flow should move to a separate Twilio subaccount first, so connecting the dialer does not change how that number answers.
